Mitosis is a type of cell division in which one parent cell divides to form two identically daughter cells. Also, the number of chromosomes in daughter cell is same as the parent cell. Each cell contain 23 pairs of chromosomes. It means is has total of 46 chromosomes that contain our genetic information in the form of DNA.
